Welcome to the
Floral Pavilion Theatre

THE FLORAL PAVILION THEATRE IS NOW CLOSED
FOR IT'S LONG AWAITED REFURBISHMENT
AND THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS TO A
NEW ERA FOR THIS WELL LOVED VENUE

Two web cams have been focused on the theatre site - one on the roof of the New Palace Amusements and the other on Fort Perch Rock.  To help you keep up to date on the progress click here to visit the WEBCAM page.

The ceremonial 'sod cutting' took place outside the theatre and the work then began by dismantling inside.  Our picture shows Wallasey MP Angela Eagle, Pete Price from Radio City, Councillor Pat Hackett, representatives from Neptune Developments, Kier Group plc and the North West Development Agency.

Demolition work started on Monday 17th September, which was a sad time for many, but with a feeling of great excitement at the prospect of a brand new theatre.

We had a great time during the Summer going along to New Brighton and other locations with the 'Arts Vagen' bus and it was good to see so many people and to be able to show off and explain the plans for the new theatre.  It was also nice to see some of the regular patrons of the Floral and also to meet with local residents. ....Everyone seems to be very enthusiastic.

We would still love to hear your reminiscences of the Floral - maybe of the shows you have seen or perhaps an exciting experience of meeting one of your favourite stars - click here to add your memories to our guest book.  Should you have any memorabilia such as old programmes, photographs etc. you might like to send them to us for our archive.

We have been asked by many people about the fantastic photographs in our bar and what's happened to them. . . . Well be assured that they have all been carefully catalogued and stored at Pacific Road and whilst it might not be feasible for every single one to go back on display in the new theatre we'll ensure that as many as possible do.
